Business School of Jilin University was established in 1993. After more than 10 years of development, it now has the following eight departments :Accounting Department, Strategy and Operation Management Department, Financial Management Department, Human Resource Management Department, Management Science and Engineering Department, Marketing Department, Applied Finance Department, Quantity Economics Departmentand three research centers (Korean and Asian Financial Research Center, Modern Enterprise Management Research Center, Information and Strategy Research Center). 

    Business School has three doctorate granting majors which are Economics, Enterprise Management, Western Economics (Cooperation with Economic School), six master granting majors which are Quantity Economics, Enterprise Management, Accounting, Management Science and Engineering, Industrial Economics and Finance, and four professional degree education centers which are Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA), Master of Project Management and Master of Professional Accounting (MPACC). Among them, the major of Quantity Economics has been elected as national key disciplines and the only quantity economics key research base of Ministry of Education.
    Business School owns a teacher team which combines the Arts and the Science and integrates multiple disciplines. It has 123 full-time teachers, among whom, 38 are professors (including 23 doctor tutors) and 37 are associate professors. The scientific research achievements of teachers are plenty. During the 10 years, the teachers has published thousands of papers in different publications of home and abroad, published more than 70 of monographs, translation works and textbooks, and undertake more than 40 projects of the National Natural Science Fund, the National Social and Scientific Fund, “863” High-tech Project and Humanities and Social and Scientific Fund Project of Ministry of Education, among which, 2 achievements have achieved the third prize of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, second prize of Prize of Ministry of Education for Progress in Science and Technology, 5 achievements have achieved the first, second and third prize of Prize of Ministry of Education for Excellent Research Achievements of Humanities and Social Science, and 18 achievements have achieved the first, second and third prize of Prize of Jilin Province for Excellent Research Achievements of Social Science.
    Business School pays special attention to the academic communication with foreign countries. It has sent nearly 40 tutors to give lectures, do joint studys and degree studys for many countries and regions, such as the U.S., Germany, Japan, Canada, Holland, R.O. Korea, the U.K and Hong Kong. It has established formal cooperation and exchange relationship with University of Illinois in the U.S.A, Curtin University of Technology in Australia, University of Otago in New Zealand and Seoul National University in R.O. Korea. Business School has invited many foreign celebrities as its honorary professors or guest professors, such as Professor Stiglitz who won the Nobel Prize for Economics and the former president of World Bank, Professor Lawrence Lau who is a world famous Chinese economist and chancellor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and among others Naoshi Morikawa who is former chief expert of the Tokyo Grain Exchange of Japan, etc.

Business School has excellent study and research condition and advanced office facilities. It has library and information office, Shenzhen and Hong Kong computer lab, certified public accountant lab, MBA multimedia case room, Morikawa stock futures trade simulation lab, etc. Besides many scholarships in the school, Business School also sets up Shenzhen and Hong Kong Scholarship, Student Grant, Morikawa Scholarship, Xiaoguang Scholarship, which make more than 30% of the students achieve scholarship every year.
    Though the history of Business School is short, its prospect is promising. Business School is the key base for the cultivation of senior business management talents and the cradle for the breeding of business elites. The students cultivated by it are to become big talents of our country. With the prosperity and development of Chinese economy, Business School must have a promising future!
